There is two ways to block a contact on WhatsApp we will go through both of them.
How to block a contact from the contacts tab
1. Launch WhatsApp from your Home screen.2. Tap on the Contacts tab. It's the middle tab which looks like a head-shaped icon at the bottom of your screen.
3. Scroll through your contacts and tap on the name of the person you would like to invite.
4. Tap on the Block This Contact button.
5. Tap on the Block button in the confirmation dialog.
This will stop the person from messaging or calling you in WhatsApp. It's important to note that this will not stop them from making regular calls or texts to you.
